Hey, family!! I just have to take a few minutes and tell you how AWESOME God is!!! Friends, family and more friends!! We have been traveling through the US for 4 ½ months and have been connecting with people all along the way. It is so fulfilling for us to have these relationships with people; relationships that are more like family than friends.

Our journey right now is to join our lives, wholly and completely, with the people God puts in our path. God has given us “family” all over the place, and our family keeps growing. Jesus speaks of this, “...No one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present time: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields--along with persecutions--and in the age to come eternal life” Mark 10 29-30. We have claimed this passage for our family as we have left everything behind to follow the direction of God for our lives.

And, he continues to come through on his promise! Seriously. At every stop along our travels for the past 4.5 months, we have seen deep relationships form.
  • Northern Cali: God connected us with a young girl who became our kids babysitter for the 10 days we were there. Irene is AMAZING and she instantly became family!
  • Modesto, CA: a couple reached out to us via our social media. We parked in front of their house for 3 nights and were able to pray for each other and do ministry in that community together. -->side note: we never met them until we pulled up to their house in our house on wheels!
  • Silicon Valley: the young mom and her 2 kids parked next to us in the RV resort. I still stay in contact with her. Also, our cousin lives in that area and we were able to spend quality time with them for a couple days.

  • San Diego: Already these people were family. It was so life-giving to be able to spend a month with all of them and to feel so loved!
  • Phoenix: so many God-designed appointments and relationships -- the heart of Jesus for this world was our main connection!
  • Tucson: We met the family we would later travel with through 3 states on our way East!
  • San Antonio: we found this “random” church online and went to it for 3 days straight. They gave us a place to park and we felt a deep connection. We are certain we will be back there soon.
  • Austin area: friends of friends. Lots of kids, fellow homeschoolers, following a God adventure, INSTANT CONNECTION.
  • Dallas/Fort Worth: a Skoolie family who inspired us to continue pursuing God and following His voice as He leads us.
  • Florida: reconnecting with longtime friends from Grand Forks. This family has taken us into their lives and been a constant source of rest and fun and encouragement for us and our kids. They have 6 of their own and we have loved this week with them…

Meet the Connors! God spoke to this family of 7 to move to Austin; so they did. Just like that. Quick obedience and inspiring FAITH!

If you followed any of our RV Repair story on Instagram, then you will remember hearing about Chuck, the RV repairman. He is our hero and a true man of character. We are excited to head back to Alabama someday to connect with him... just hoping it's not because we need repair work :)

Check out this super amazing dad hanging out with a bunch of kids at the RV park! Kids make family connections so simple...

The beach is our fave and we were able to spend time there with our long-time friends from Grand Forks now living in FL!

6 kiddos and the most amazing hospitality. The Yanovs have helped us feel loved and refreshed while parked in front of their home!
Family. It has been incredibly simple to connect our hearts with the people that cross our paths. So simple. There is no other way to describe the deep love we have for these people except, God. God has orchestrated our journey in order for our lives to intersect.
Love Always,

    Hi! We're the Hoeckles.

We're a family of six living full-time in a skoolie (aka a school bus converted into an RV). We are inviting you to join us as we live life to its fullest and empower others to do the same. Welcome to the family!
